MES College Vatakara, under the leadership of Secretary Varayalil Moidu Haji, recently launched a two-day anti-drug campaign on March 11 and 12. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the evils of drug abuse and to promote a healthy lifestyle among students and the local community. The event was flagged off by Dr. K K Khader, marking the beginning of a series of events and activities. College Committee Chairman Dr. VK Jamal, Vadakara Assistant Excise Inspector KN Somasundaram Pramod Pulikool, Civil Excise Officer Musbin, Principal Prof. E K Ahmed, U. Padmakumar, R. Faisal, MK Kunjhammad, Koroth Nawaz, and others shared their insights and experience during the campaign. The campaign featured flash mob, awareness speeches designed to educate the public about the ill effects of drug abuse. Students and general public participated enthusiastically, holding placards and banners with anti-drug slogans.

A one-day workshop on health and hygiene, part of physical awareness, was organized by the Women's Development Cell of Vadakara MES College and inaugurated by the President of the College Management Committee, Dr. V.K. Jamal.Dr. Nimisha, Dr. Sunita, and Dr. Deepti Mithun led the study classes on various topics. The event was addressed by Convener Professor Surabhi CH, Principal Professor E. K. Ahmed, and Secretary Varyalil Moiduhaji. Professor Sujitha S subsequently proposed the vote of thanks.The three doctors interacted the students on various issues related to women's safety.

The Dhamaka Arts Fest was successfully conducted at MES College, Vatakara on February 27 and 28. The two-day event was a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and talent, showcasing the creativity and skills of the students.

A blood donation camp was conducted at MES College Vadakara under NSS Unit (121)in collaboration with Thalassery Government Hospital and BDK Vadakara. Inauguration of the program was held at the college on February 14. MES College Management Committee Secretary Janab Varayalil Moidu Haji inaugurated the programme.Doctor Janus Dev of Thalassery Government Hospital, Hasan VS (General Secretary of Blood Donors Kerala Vadakara), College Principal Prof EK Ahmed and NSS Program Officer Anoop led the camp.The camp was from 10 am to 12.30 pm. Students and teachers participated in blood donation camp.

Women Development Cell of MES COLLEGE VATAKARA organized a self training programme On 5th February 2025 at 2.30 pm in the Colllege auditorium. College Principal Prof. Ammad E K inaugurated the session. The main objective of this programme is to empower the girl students (second yearUG&PG) to defend against any type of physical assault and also to build self confidence. Mrs.Surabhi C.H (Convenor WDC of MES College Vatakara) welcomed the gathering. After the inaugural session, Self Defence Training session was there. Both Mrs. Sunitha K.K (Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, Pink Police Vatakara) and Mrs. BijiK.P(Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Pink Police Vatakara) addressed the girl students by giving them valuable ideas on how to be alert always. Moreover they demonstrated a training session on Self Defence. They talked about the different types of Self Defence Techniques. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Ms.Anvika O(WDC committee member).

The NSS unit of MES College Vatakara organized seven day camps community living camp at GMUP School parakkadav. Total 42 students registered NSS Volunteers participated in the camp. NSS unit in our college established in our college with an aim of establishing sense of social responsibility amongst UG students. It also aimed at the inculcating nature of self-discipline and selfless dedication towards community development.

MES College organized a one-day pre-camp ahead of this year's NSS seven Day Camp at Vadakara. MES College Secretary Varyalil Moitu Haji hoisted the flag.Program Officer Anoop PP, College Principal Professor EK Ahmed Administrative Officer U Padmakumar, Vice Principal Sreeja LS. Teachers Farveena Karim and Nikhil KG spoke. NSS Coordinator Mohammad Junaid K. welcomed and Fatima Zia gave vote of thanks. Former Program Officer Amit MA gave orientation to the NSS volunteers. MES College NSS 7day camp will be held from December 21 at Parakkadav GMU UP School.

First year MSW students of this college conducted the flash mob in connection with HIV/AIDS awareness which was arranged by Kerala State AIDS Control Society (KSACS) on 11th November 2024 in three places of koyilandy-new bus stand, Municipality and Taluk hospital at 11:30 am. The program aimed to educate the public about the importance of HIV prevention, safe practices, and reducing stigma about AIDS. The flash mob was are sounding success, effectively conveying the message of HIV/AIDS awareness to the public.
